“Hold onto your butts” heavy metal fans because we have some thrilling news for you. Yes, we just used a Jurassic Park quote with metal music, but with Megadeth posts anything goes. The legendary group, Megadeth, released a remastered version of ‘Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying?’ on July 12th and we are giving one of you Shockya readers a free copy of it! The package includes 2 CDs, the original album, remastered and a previously unreleased 1987 concert, which includes the tracks, “Wake Up Dead,” “The Conjuring,” “Bad Omen,” “Rattlehead,” “Killing Is My Business…And Business Is Good,” “Looking Down The Cross,” “My Last Words,” “Peace Sells,” “These Boots Were Made For Walkin’,” “Devils Island,” “Last Rites/Loved To Deth,” and “Mechanix.” The booklet also has liner notes by Dave Mustaine and Lars Ulrich. Phew, that’s a lot of Megadeth tunes, but we know you crazy fans can handle it.
‘Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying?’ was originally released 25 years ago in 1986 and was Megadeth’s second album and the band’s first Capitol/EMI release. In honor of the album’s re-release, the group’s Grammy nods and their chart topping and multi-platinum successes, we want you Shockya readers to tell us what has made Megadeth the metal gods they are today. To implement restrictions on this contest would not correlate well with the group’s lengthy career. We know Megadeth has impacted you fans for different reasons and we want to hear them by using no more than 300 words.
You have until the end of month, July 31st, to impress us with your Megadeth knowledge. Remember to post your responses in the comment section of this article and to e-mail your entries to freestuff@shockya.com.
