Kane Hodder and Danielle Harris will both be reprising their respective roles in the upcoming ‘Hatchet 3,’ the second sequel in the horror series about swamp-dwelling killer Victor Crowley. The movie will be written and produced by Adam Green, who directed the first two films in the series. First time feature film director BJ McDonnell is stepping in to replace Green as the helmer.
Hodder will once again play Crowley, reprising his role from the 2006 original film ‘Hatchet’ and its 2010 follow-up, ‘Hatchet 2.’ Harris took over the role of Marybeth in the first sequel.
‘Hatchet 3’ picks up where its predecessor leaves off, after Marybeth seemingly murdered Crowley. A search and recovery team goes into the swamp to look into Crowley’s apparent murder. Meanwhile, Marybeth looks for the secret that will end the voodoo curse that left the killer haunting Honey island Swamp for decades.
ArieScope Pictures and Dark Sky Films will release ‘Hatchet 3’ next year. Additional cast members are expected to be announced soon.
