Friends are realizing that they only have each other in their most dire time of need, as a gang of sinister clowns begin stalking them through an otherwise deserted town. The chase begins this fall, when ITN Distribution, Inc. begins unleashing the violent antagonists. The leading independent film distribution company has acquired the North American rights to the horror film, ‘ClownTown,’ which it will unveil in theaters on September 30. The company will then release the thriller on VOD and DVD on October 4.
ITN Distribution’s President Stuart Alson made the announcement about the company’s acquisition of the drama today. When revealing the news, he stated, “ITN Distribution is excited to bring ‘ClownTown’ to North American audiences.”
‘ClownTown’ was directed by Tom Nagel and written by Jeff Miller, who noted, “Stuart and ITN want to help us scare people with our killer clowns, so we’re excited for them to be handing our North American distribution.” The drama is loosely inspired by the clowns who terrorized Bakersfield, California in 2014. The horror thriller stars Brian Nagel, Lauren Elise, Andrew Staton, Katie Keene, Jeff Denton and Greg Violand.
Miller also joined the helmer, as well as Brian Nagel, Christopher Lawrence Chapman and Ronnie D. Lee, as producers on ‘ClownTown.’ Robert Kurtzman, the creator of ‘From Dusk Till Dawn,’ co-produced the horror thriller. David H. Greathouse handled the bulk of the makeup FX. Stuart Alson of ITN Distribution negotiated the deal along with Miller and CT Films LLC, on behalf of the filmmakers. Archstone Distribution is handling foreign sales.
