Estranged relatives often can’t find redemption and forgiveness in each other until they embark on a journey that emotionally and positively affects them both. That’s certainly the case for the two recently reunited brothers in the upcoming drama, ‘Generational Sins.’ The siblings are struggling to contend with, and overcome, their shared pained history in the wake of a recent family tragedy. In honor of the film’s distribution into theaters and on VOD this Friday by Freestyle Digital Media, Shockya is premiering an exclusive clip, which is titled ‘Brothers Downtown.’
‘Generational Sins’ was directed by Spencer T. Folmar, who also co-wrote the script with actor Dax Spanogle. In addition to Spanogle, the movie also stars Daniel MacPherson, Barrett Donner, Kristen Jezek, Leesa Folmar, Bill Farmer and Nick Coble.
Freestyle Digital Media has released the following synopsis for ‘Generational Sins’:
Two estranged brothers, Drew and Will Caldwell (MacPherson and Spanogle), are brought back together by the death of their mother. Her dying wish is to see them return to their birthplace and reunite with their abusive, alcoholic father. So they set out on a journey that leads them to their hometown, which is full of dark memories that Will, who’s the younger brother, doesn’t remember and Drew, who’s the older brother wants to forget.
As each brother reconnects to the town and its people, they struggle to find the meaning of home, both for those who stay and for those who leave. Ultimately, they must confront the memory and the man of their father, and are forced to choose between forgiveness and bitterness.
