The perfect trip for four friends across the backwoods of the state of Texas looking for the great offbeat roadside attractions, goes horribly wrong when they become the prisoners of a psychotic family of serial killers. Meeting the legendary Captain Spaulding they learn the legend of Dr. Satan and the great deadwood mystery. Picking up a hitchhiker, Baby, they mysteriously have a flat tire, leading them to the home of the Firefly family. Staying in the home against their will they begin to learn the secrets of the family and the House of a 1000 Corpse’s.
This film receives Roger Moore’s three skipped beats, it was almost a heart stopper but it just missed it. It was a great and wonderful movie, it was set to be a cheesy cult cartoony 70’s style horror film and it completely delivered on it. The introduction of the Firefly family brought the crowd to wanting more and more which was exactly what was given with the follow up film The Devil’s Rejects to be reviewed next. Enjoy the film God knows I did. Love it great for any collection.
