Ellen on her way back to the city from her wilderness home finds her self, smack in the middle of nowhere when she has an unexpected car accident with another young woman. This is when Moonface decides to make his appearance taking the other young woman off into the woods; Ellen is left alone to fend for herself against the monster of a man hell bent on killing her. Things change into a quick game of cat-and-mouse as soon as the tides shift and Ellen decides to fight back, survival is the name of the game and Ellen is learning to play very quickly.
Getting Three Skipped Beats on the Roger Moore scale of rating, Coscarelli truly does deliver a great thrill ride of a flick with this one. In the spirit of The Phantasm and Bubba Ho-tep, this film travels the dark side of survival and things one will do when faced with a horrible task at hand. I for one loved this episode and am truly happy in having it in my personal collection. As always be afraid, be very afraid.
