Blade is back and this time he has a new enemy to fight against, and now he must team up with a group of vampires to defeat this new threat. Traveling to Europe with Whistler and his newest gadget man Scud, Blade must find away to defeat this new breed of vampires who seem to be unstoppable.
Guillermo del Toro (Cronos, Devil’s Backbone, Mimic) did a wonderful job of continuing Goyer’s vision of this series, being much bloodier than the first film and surpassing it in the action sequences and story itself, this is one sequel that does not fail to stand up to the original. Goyer has written a magnificent vampire story and Del Toro successfully brought that vision to life with his own brand of terror. Receiving a whopping Three Skipped Beats on the Roger Moore movie scale Blade II has done what so many sequels have failed to do. The sequel not only measured up to the original but many people feel that it surpassed it on many levels. As always be afraid, be very afraid. Â
