Based on the Comedy Central series, this film follows our beloved group of reject sheriff deputies to the National Police Convention in Miami, Florida. Where when they are unable to stay at the convention with the rest of the respectable law enforcement agencies they venture to a lesser motel, which turns out to be a blessing in disguise, as the nations top law enforcement agencies fall victim to an evil plot of terror. Leaving just the Reno Sheriff’s department to patrol the streets of Miami and try and find out who is behind the terrorism befalling the police force.
The filming of this movie was done the same style as the show with its documentary feel to it. Bringing the show to the big screen is never an easy thing to do but they did it taking the jokes to a higher level. One of the stars Ben Garant did a great job in his big screen-directing debut; along with writing this film with the State alumni. The team really did a wonderful job bringing this film to life.
Receiving Three Skipped Beats on the Roger Moore movie scale, Reno 911: Miami has to be the funniest film, I’ve personally seen this year. Even for those of us who are not followers of the show, I’ve only watched a few episodes on TV and I still enjoyed the movie. I recommend this movie to anyone who has ever watched even one episode of the show, cause if you enjoyed it at all you’ll love the movie. Go out an watch it as son as you can.
