Sad news today. Associated Press reports that standup comic and actress Marilyn Martinez died on November 3rd, due to complications from colon cancer. She was 52. Marilyn Martinez best known for her stand up, started her career as a child tap dancer on a local television show, went on to tour solo with comedian Paul Rodriguez between 1996 to 2003 and appeared in “Pauly Shore Is Dead” and the comedy “El Matador” by director Joey Medina.
Her husband John David Crowder says “Marilyn was out there to make the fans excited. She wasn’t out there for stardom and fame,” he said. “And she didn’t want to be remembered as a dirty mouth.”
