A&E presents PARANORMAL STATE: SIXTH SENSE / THE NAME the premiere episodes in the first series that explores the paranormal through the eyes and minds of college students. The series follows the dramatic life of Penn State University college student Ryan Buell and the other student members of the first university sanctioned Paranormal Research Society, a.k.a., P.R.S. The members seek to find the truth behind real life mysteries. In addition to Ryan, the group is comprised of four men and three women, all of whom represent a range of ages, talents and personalities to create a great dynamic. Although the members of P.R.S. are typical college kids that are dealing with the down to earth problems of school, dating, and finding their way in this world, they’re also looking into “other” worlds.
Each week the Paranormal Research Society is contacted by parties ranging from the Catholic Church to ordinary families who are terrified by something that is happening in their lives. The Penn State Paranormal Research Society has been officially sanctioned by Penn State University. Professor Adam Blai, a skilled forensic psychologist, is the faculty advisor. Blai’s intense and lively personality works well with the students, and he acts as a mentor and friend to the group.
