Variety.com reports today that Actor Roy Scheider died Sunday in Little Rock Arkansas. The cause of death is currently unknown. Perhaps best known for his role in Steven Spielberg’s 1975 classic “Jaws” as Police Chief Martin Brody. Roy was also nominated for two Academy Awards, Best Actor in a Supporting Role in The “French Connection” by director William Friedkin and Best Actor in a Leading Role in “All that Jazz” from director Bob Fosse.
Roy is survived by his wife Brenda Scheider and his three children.
