Actress Pamela Anderson, who has been a vegetarian and PETA supporter for decades, was appalled when a gusty reporter pulled a chicken drumstick out of his shorts and began eating it during a press conference in Australia recently.

The ex-Playboy Playmate was holding interviews with several journalists in Sydney earlier this week to promote her E! Channel reality show, ” Pam: Girl on the Loose .”

Before the drumstick incident occurred, the reporter pulled down his pants, revealing bright red underwear, and asked the actress/model for her autograph. After Anderson agreed and placed her John Hancock on his unmentionables, the reporter proceeded to not only reveal the chicken drumstick, but started eating it as well.

Anderson has been part of the PETA (short for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) campaign against fast-food franchises KFC for several years.

Anderson, who was obviously upset, began saying to her manager, “This is what happens. See, I create this image and this is what happens.”

WENN reports that Anderson protested outside branch of fast-food restaurant KFC in Sydney last month in a bid to try and convince the brand to refuse to use factory farmed animal meat.

In 1999, Anderson won PETA’s first Linda McCartney Memorial Award for animal rights protectors, in recognition of her campaign against fur.
