On January 27, 2009 the “Hulk Vs” DVD from Lionsgate Entertainment and Marvel Comics, with two animated shorts featuring everyone’s favorite Canadian mutant and the God of Thunder both fighting the big green man himself, the Incredible Hulk, will hit the shelves on DVD.
Marvel has four exclusive clips, including an exclusive featurette on the voice of Deadpool, the Merc with a Mouth. The two clips are both rated PG-13, with one from “The Hulk Vs. Wolverine”, and two from “The Hulk Vs. Thor”. You can check the clips out right here.
The Wolverine segment will recount the now-classic comic fight from “The Incredible Hulk” Vol. 1 #181 which first introduced Wolverine to the Marvel universe when Wolverine fought the Hulk in the Canadian wilderness at the behest of the Canadian government and the top-secret Department H.
The Thor segment will be an original story with a Ragnarok theme about the Hulk fighting the Gods of Asgard, while the Ragnarak goes on and the All-Father Odin sleeps. Meanwhile the trickster god Loki plots to overthrow Thor and Odin and claim Asgard for himself.
Writer/producer Craig Kyle has stated that the Wolverine segment is serving as a prequel to the upcoming “Wolverine and the X-Men” animated series, where the two characters will have a rematch of the confrontation shown in this movie.
