Check out two exclusive, brand-new clips of the mysterious masked Rorschach form the upcoming comic book adaptation “Watchmen” right here:
Based on the award-winning and much-beloved 1980’s graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, “Watchmen” is about a dark alternate time, where a group of former heroes attempt to deal with and shake off their many flaws and damaged psyches in order to investigate the death of one of their own, and in the process uncover a much bigger threat to the entire world. Written by Moore and drawn by Gibbons, the title ran in single issues as a limited series between 1986 and 1987 from DC/Vertigo Comics and was heralded as a “new age” in comics, arguably helping to usher in the popularity of “mature” and critical comics and graphic novels.
“Watchmen” hits theaters March 6th, 2009 and stars Malin Ackerman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Patrick Wilson, Carla Gugino, Billy Crudup, and more. The highly-anticipated film has been the subject of much media coverage, not only from its popularity in the comic book world but also the lengthy and serious legal battle between Warner Bros. and Fox Studios over allegations regarding the ownership of the rights to the adaptation, which led to a period of uncertainty over whether the movie would even see the light of day.
