The film, which also co-stars Teresa Palmer, was seen shooting in Brooklyn, New York yesterday.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is about a sorcerer (Cage) who leaves his workshop in the hands of his apprentice (Baruchel), who gets into trouble when the broomstick he’s tasked to do his chores for him somehow develops a mind of its own.
The movie, which is an extended, live-action version of the infamous short from Fantasia, is once again being produced by Disney and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
The script was written by a team of writers including Carlo Bernard, Lawrence Konner, Matt Lopez, Doug Miro and Mark Rosenthal and is directed by John Turteltaub, who has worked with Cage on the National Treasure series.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is set for release on July 16th, 2010.
