Media outlet First Showing has got its paws on the first teaser poster for director Martin Scorsese’s upcoming movie Shutter Island. Check out the teaser poster below!
Based on the Dennis Lehane novel of the same name, Shutter Island follows U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio)circa 1954 while he investigates the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.
Scorsese, of Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, Gangs of New York, The Aviator and The Departed fame, is directing the script written by Laeta Kalogridis (Night Watch, Alexander, Pathfinder).
Shutter Island stars DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Sir Ben Kingsley, Emily Mortimer, Michelle Williams, Jackie Earle Haley, Elias Koteas, Ted Levine and John Carroll Lynch.
Paramount is bringing Shutter Island, a mystery/drama film, to theaters on October 2nd of this year.
