IESB is reporting that “Book Of Eli” star Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight) was spotted on the set of “Iron Man 2”, and not just to visit apparently. No official announcements have been made regarding it but IESB is speculating that Oldman will have a role in the film, or at least a cameo.
“Iron Man 2”, the sequel to the 2008 summer smash and adaptation of the classic Marvel Comics character, is scheduled for release May 7th, 2010 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Iron Man first appeared in Marvel’s “Tales of Suspense” #39 in March 1963, and was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Don Heck and Jack Kirby. Tony Stark, billionaire and industrialist playboy, is critically wounded while overseas inspecting weapons and is captured by terrorists. Forced to create a suit of armor to keep himself alive, he escapes and becomes the high-tech armored hero Iron Man.
