Day Akroyd recently talked to Screenrant about the fan-awaited and long-rumored “Ghostbusters 3” project.
While there are no definite plans announced for the film so far, Akroyd hinted “[W]hen we do the Ghostbusters 3 movie, hopefully, Sigourney will be in, I know. We’ll make that happen.”
Akroyd wrote the first two “Ghostbusters” films with fellow Buster and screenwriter Harold Ramis. “Ghostbusters,” starring Arkoyd, Ramis, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson, was released in 1984. The sequel was releasted in 1989. The popular film franchise, which has also spawned video games, an animated TV series, and comic books, follows a comedic and eclectic group of New York-based paranormal investigators and ghost hunters.
