Ray Stevenson, Jaime King, Stephen Moyer, Robert Duvall and James Caan are all attached to star in the post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller “Tribes of October”. Philippe Martinez is directing and producing, based on a script from Nick Vallelonga and Paul Sloan.
The film is set in a future where New York, technologically crippled with nothing made past the 1960’s working, is surrounded by desert wastelands. Stevenson will play a detective who is targeting a power-hungry Mafia don, played by Cann. King will play the detective’s long-lost love, who he is also searching for, and Duvall is the head of the remnants of the NYPD, of which Moyer is a member of.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that production and filming will be starting this summer, and that most of the background will be CGI.
No release date has been set yet.
