Producer Don Murphy recently talked to Sci Fi Wire about the long-rumored and highly-anticipated adaptation of the Grant Morrison comic “We3”, which he is attached to.
According to Murphy, “We3” already has both a script and a director, and just needs a studio home. John Stevenson (“Kung Fu Panda”) is attached to direct the live-action/CGI adaptation of “We3”, which focused on three domestic animals, a dog, cat, and rabbit, that have been transformed with implants and robotic suits top become high-tech soldiers. The three then go on the run to avoid being destroyed by their creators after having been deemed unsuitable, and start looking for somewhere to call home while being pursued.
The comic, which premiered in 2004 from DC’s Vertigo imprint to universal acclaim, has long been rumored to be coming to the big screen. No other information has been released so far on the project.
