Dan Gordon, the screenwriter behind “The Hurricane” starring Denzel Washington and “Wyatt Earp” starring Kevin Costner, has been attached to write the upcoming “The King of Sting.”
Based on the con man Craig Glazer’s autobiography of the same name, the story follows Glazer’s 20 years as a con man, posting as an undercover narcotics policeman and pocketing the money he’d seize at his “arrests”. Glazer and his partner were eventually hired by the Kansas City Police Department to conduct real stings after their arrest, they were so effective.
So far no other information about the project has been released.
Gordon has also worked on the Broadway hit “Irena’s Vow,” and the upcoming Universal film “Mafia Cop” and MGM’s “The Mechanic.”
