Fredrik Bond has been tapped to direct the long-awaited big-screen adaptation of the hit Devil’s Due Publishing comic “Hack/Slash” for Rogue Pictures.
Bond, who is also attached to direct a remake of the hit Korean horror movie “The Host” at Universal and the upcoming “The Hunger” for Warner Bros, has previously worked in TV commercials and music videos.
Justin Marks wrote the scipt. Alexandra Milchan, Daniel Alter, and Adrian Askarieh are producing the project, which has been rumored for quite some time.
“Hack/Slash” was created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli in 2004, and follows Cassie Hack, a young woman who travels across America to fight and kill “slashers”, horror movie-like and often supernatural killers. She is partnered with the giant gas mask-wearing Vlad, an almost-monstrous man who serves as her protection and one true friend.
