Variety is reporting that Russell Crowe is slated to star in “The Next Three Days”, an adaptation of the 2008 French film “Pour Elle”. Writer and director Paul Haggis will be taking on the adaptation.
Crow will play a teacher whose wife is arrested and convicted of murder, which she says she is innocent of. He comes up with a desperate plan to free her and prove her innocence.
Production is set to begin in late September 2009, in Pittsburgh.
