Jon Heder is attached to star in “Buddy Holly Is Alive and Well on Ganymede,” an adaptation of the Bradley Denton comedic science-fiction novel.
Robert Rugan both wrote the script and will be directing the project. Molly Mayeux is producing through her Dahlia Street Films banner alongside partner Michael Hennessy. Caspian Pictures’ Brian Bullock is onboard as an executive producer.
Heder will play Oliver Vale, a geek whose life changes when the classic rocker Buddy Holly turns up on every TV channel on the planet and declares that Vale is the only one who understands why this is happening, which triggers a planet-wide manhunt for Vale by various hidden and disguised aliens on the Earth, to comedic effect.

jon heder is hotttttttttttt. I love him.
Bradley Denton created a work of art when he wrote Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede. EVERY time I read it I laugh out loud. Anticipating the scene where the dog bites the bike. Hopefully there are not too many cinematic liberties and the film resonates within me like the book did. Fates Random Plan
