Variety is reporting that “Dead Space”, the hit Electronic Arts video game, is being developed as a full-length feature by director D.J. Caruso.
The game follows the adventure of an engineer named Isaac Clarke who fights to survive on an interstellar mining ship against a mutating alien infestation that turns its victims into grotesque mutant monsters called Necromorphs.
EA has already released a prequel comic book for “Dead Space” written by Antony Johnston and drawn by Ben Templesmith, as well as a prequel animated movie called “Dead Space: Downfall”, the first parts of what has been part of EA’s multi-media campaign for “Dead Space”.
There is no release date set for the adaptation.
