Variety.com is reporting that both Jessica Biel and Sharlto Copley (“District 9”) are in final talks to join the cast of Fox’s upcoming “A-Team” film, opposite Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Joe Carnahan is directing, with Ridley Scott, Jules Daly, and series creator Stephen J. Cannell producing from a script by Skip Woods.
The film, which will start filming this fall in Vancouver, will follow the premise of the classic TV series about four falsely convicted soldiers who escape from prison and become do-gooder mercenaries.
Copley will portray pilot “Howling Mad” Murdock, and Biel will be playing the ex-lover of Cooper’s “Faceman,” the general pursuing the team. Neeson’s set to play John “Hannibal” Smith, the role originated by George Peppard, and Jackson’s on board as Sgt. “B.A.” Baracus, portrayed by Mr. T in the series.
