According to Variety.com, the graphic novel “Ring Of Roses” has been picked up for a film adaptation by Spice Factory and Persistent Entertainment.
“Ring Of Roses” was created by Das Petrou and drawn by John Watkiss, and was originally published by Image Comics in 2005. Taking place in an alternate world where England continues to be ruled by the iron fist of organized religion, a lawyer and a hardened convict are tasked to solve the grisly murders of six priests, which is somehow tied to a vast conspiracy that his behind a bubonic plague outbreak.
Jason Piette and Michael L. Cowan of Spice Factory’s Jason Piette and Michael L. Cowan, alongside Matthew Rhodes and Aaron Cruze from Persistent, are set to produce the film.
