‘Greek’ is now officially the longest-running original show on the cable network ABC Family. The Hollywood Reporter announced on February 20 that the hour-long dramedy series has been renewed for a fourth season.
While the initial order is only for 10 new episodes, less than the average ‘Greek’ season, if ratings hold up, the network will consider expanding the season. While the season is set to premiere later this year, fans don’t have to wait to see what’s going on with fraternity and sorority life at Cyprus Rhodes University. The show recently returned for the second half of its third season in late January, and new episodes are expected to premiere until the end of March.
While ‘Greek’ doesn’t average the same number of viewers as ‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager,’ this season has seen double-digit growths in certain key demographics. Therefore, ‘Greek’ stars Jacob Zachar, Spencer Grammer, Jake McDorman and Sean Michael Foster are certain to return to the Patrick Sean Smith-created show.
‘Greek’ isn’t the only ABC Family original show to be renewed. Additional seasons of ‘The Secret Life,’ ‘Make It or Break It’ and ’10 Things I Hate About You’ have all been confirmed.
