A big-screen version of HBO’s hit series “Rome” is moving forward, with Morning Light Productions getting a script from series creator Bruno Heller.
Running from 2005 to 2007, the show was a bloody look at the history of the Roman Empire through the eyes of two characters, Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo, two Roman soldiers whose names are drawn from history and Caesar’s “Commentarii de Bello Gallico”.
HBO is not involved in the film’s production, which is slated to take place 4 years after the end of the series’ story. Ray Stevenson and Kevin McKidd, who played Pullo and Vorenus respectively, are rumored to return to their roles.
