“Sherlock Holmes” director Guy Ritchie has been attached to direct a new big-screen King Arthur project for Warner Bros. Pictures.
John Hodge (“Trainspotting”) is writing the script for Atlas Entertainment and Hollywood Gang alongside Ritchie.
The project is slated to be a re-imagining of the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and will be based on Thomas Mallory’s 1485 English/French collection of tales “Le Morte d’Arthur.”
Hollywood Gang’s Gianni Nunnari, Atlas’ Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are producing the project, with Hollywood Gang’s Craig J. Flores exec producing.
No casting or release date has been released yet.
