Rachel Weisz has been announced as attached to star in the Jackie Kennedy Onassis film “Jackie”.
“Jackie” is being described as taking place in the days immediately following the death of President Kennedy, his public funeral, and her continued focus on by the media and general public.
The project is being helmed by Weisz’s fiance, director Darren Aronofsky. His producing partner Scott Franklin and their Protozoa Pictures film company will be producing alongside. Noah Oppenheim wrote the script for what was initially planned to be a TV film before transforming into a big-screen feature.
Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 in Dallas, TX, by sniper Lee Harvey Oswald.
