Writer/director Greg Mottola (upcoming “Paul”, “Adventureland”, “Superbad”) has been tapped by Paramount Pictures to pen the screenplay for “Important Artifacts”.
The project is based on Leanne Shapton’s book “Important Artifacts and Personal Property From the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion and Jewelry.”
Shapton is an art director at the New York Times, and according to the Risky Business/THR article;
“[C]rafted a fictional estate auction catalog full of personal items and photographs from the four-year romance between a male photographer and a younger food columnist.”
Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman are attached to star in the romantic comedy as well as producing through a joint effort by their respective production banners, Plan B and Handsomecharlie Films.
