Christopher Nolan is taking his sweet time giving us noteworthy information about his third Batman fill, but at least Production Weekly is here with some goods. According to their Twitter feed, Warner Bros. will release Batman 3 on July 20th, 2012.
Apparently Nolan isn’t concerned about going up against a massive amount of competition. Batman 3 joins The Avengers, Star Trek 2 and the new Spider-Man reboot in the ever-increasing summer 2012 lot. Hopefully the second to last week in July will prove to be Nolan’s lucky spot. Back in 2008, on the very same weekend, The Dark Knight began its run to a whopping $1 billion worldwide and eventually two Academy Awards as well.
According to Film School Rejects, the studio is kicking off early development while Nolan finishes up post-production on Inception, which just happens to be hitting theaters on July 20th, the exact same day The Dark Knight arrived in 2008. This guy is really something else.
Keep an eye out for more Batman 3 news as additional information is expected to role in as we get closer to the release of Inception.
