Perhaps if Lindsay Lohan would have just remained the wholesome little girl from The Parent Trap or even just the promising young actress from Mean Girls, this news would be received in a wholly different manner. After a series of serious bombs, a handful of public meltdowns and any other career breaking occurrence you can possibly think of, Lohan is looking to get back into the spotlight – as a porn star.
As reported by E!Online, Lohan’s photog pal Tyler Shields (yes, the photographer behind the whole armed and suicidal photo shoot) revealed she nabbed the role of Linda Lovelace in the film Inferno. Talk of this biopic dates all the way back to September of 2008 when Anna Faris reportedly turned down the chance to play the porn star well known for her work in the 1972 film Deep Throat, because it would be too serious and she wanted to “stick to comedies.”
Almost two full years on the hunt and the only person director Matthew Wilder could get is Lohan? Either there’s something seriously wrong with the project or Lohan came at a hefty discount. The latter is totally possible considering the shitstorm Lohan is currently caught up in. In addition to the usual outbursts, family drama and failed films, Lohan was just booted from her gig in the film The Otherside, had do deal with those racy pictures shot by Shields and is looking at jail time.
Lohan doesn’t need to revitalize her career, she needs some time off from life. Go chill out on an island in the middle of nowhere, not in Hollywood and definitely not on a filmset. It’s two years later, so maybe now Faris will have some interest.
