In the San Bernardino Mountains in Southern California is the picturesque tourist community of Lake Arrowhead. Lake Arrowhead is known for it’s fun lake activities and its close proximity to the best snow skiing and snow boarding that Southern California offers. Lake Arrowhead also offers beautiful scenery that you would find in a Twilight film, hardworking and fun-loving locals, and the world famous Lake Arrowhead Film Festival.
The Lake Arrowhead Film Festival celebrated its 11th year as a prominent film festival. Held at the waterfront Lake Arrowhead Resort, it allows filmmakers, movie stars, and fans the chance to mingle and network while viewing the natural scenery. Here, they showed films from up and coming filmmakers, held seminars by film veterans, and even honored the late Rock Hudson with a reunion of his co-stars and publicist.
The awards ceremony was a who’s who of movie stars whom were open and pleased to speak with filmmakers. The filmmakers came from everywhere in the United States, and even as far away as Pakistan. Christopher McDonald of Happy Gilmore fame cracked jokes and charmed the crowd as the Master of Ceremonies. Other celebrities like June Lockhart, Vincent Spano, and Ernie Hudson announced different awards.
I had the chance to talk with Ernie Hudson and I had to ask the question for myself and the readers of Shockya.com. “What is going on with Ghostbusters 3?” Ernie informed us that he has spoken with Director Ivan Reitman and they have just received the latest version of the script. They both hope that they will have a finalized script soon and can officially go into pre-production by this fall.
