A nice handful of the new faces in Scream 4 come from the upcoming film Twelve, which made is particularly easy for MTV to snag a whole bunch of information on the former while covering the New York premiere of the latter. Unfortunately, nobody was allowed to spill too much about the franchise’s fourth installment; apparently everyone had to sign a little something vowing not do so.
Rory Culkin made due on that agreement and never delved into details, but did dish when it came to working with the Scream vets Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. “They’ve been friendly. We’ve been hanging out and they would tell stories from the sets of the originals, things like that,” Culkin said. “[Neve’s an awesome chick. We’ve just been hanging out off set.” Nico Torterella did the same explaining, “Yeah, Courteney’s there, Neve’s there, David’s there. You know, it’s really like walking into a family, and they’re just all accepting us with mad open arms.”
Torterella even admitted, “I had never seen the originals until after I auditioned for the first time.” He was also a little more lenient with the plot information revealing, “My [character’s] name is Trevor, and Emma and I have a love interest throughout the whole movie.” Speaking of Emma Roberts, she’s in Twelve; where is she? Perhaps she was just too busy on the Scream 4 set to make it out for this premiere or MTV missed her on the carpet because she’s nowhere to be seen in this report. Hopefully we’ll hear from the franchise’s new leading lady sometime soon.
