Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie got married in Santa Barbara on August 14, PEOPLE is reporting. The guest list was small at the intimate ceremony, as the couple wanted a quiet wedding. Duff, who is believed to have worn a Vera Wang dress, had her sister Haylie serve as her maid of honor.
The 29-year-old Canadian hockey player proposed to the 22-year-old actress in February while they were vacationing in Hawaii with a $1 million engagement ring. Her rep said “After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news. They are thankful for all of your warm wishes.”
The two began dating in 2007, after meeting at a resort in Idaho. “We were all on the same plane…It (was) one of those things where we were all in a group…we spent the weekend all hanging out,” Comrie told Hockey Night in Canada in October. The ceremony came just after Duff won a Teen Choice Award for Choice TV: Female Scene Stealer, for her guest-starring role as Olivia Burke on ‘Gossip Girl’ last fall.
