While her career received attention last summer for her successful return to the action genre with her hit film ‘Salt,’ Angelina Jolie’s most recent career move is also garnering attention. She is currently shooting her directorial debut, a movie about a love story set during the Bosnian War. However, Jolie has decided to cut down the number of days she’ll actually shoot in Bosnia, from 10 to just three.
Jolie first received attention for her directorial effort when the film had its shooting permit revoked. She also created a stir when it was announced she only plans on visiting the set briefly, and will allow her assistant directors to take on most of the work.
The film also received negative press when a Bosnian woman’s group protested it. They acted on the false report that the story follows a woman who falls in love with her rapist. Jolie plans on meeting with the group to assure them the news is false.
