Director Phillip Noyce is denying that he’ll helm a sequel to the Angelina Jolie summer hit ‘Salt,’ Comingsoon.net is reporting. While there are rumors he’s already on board for another film, and Sony hasn’t officially confirmed it’s revisiting the Evelyn Salt story, Noyce said he’s already moved on.
While ‘Salt,’ which is now on Blu-Ray and DVD, made over $293 million at the box office, Noyce said he wants to focus on other projects. “If there ever is a sequel, better it’s directed by someone with a completely fresh take on what I believe could be a totally entertaining and complex series of stories.”
Noyce is currently in works to helm Russell Crowe in ‘Dirt Music,’ about singer-song-writer Luther Fox. The director said he’s also re-teaming with ‘Salt’ producer Sunil Perkash to helm the romantic comedy ‘Timeless,’ which will be penned by ‘Enchanted’ screenwriter Bill Kelly
