Jason Statham, who is busy promoting his next movie, ‘The Mechanic,’ which is set to hit theaters on January 28, recently spoke to Collider.com about the future of potential sequels to some of his earlier hits. The action star specifically discussed ‘Crank 3’ and ‘The Expendables 2,’ saying the latter has a better chance of seeing the light of day than the former.

“It’s a shame the last one (‘Crank: High Voltage’) didn’t do that well. I think the first one had a bit more success and usually if you do a sequel, it usually…takes(s) a little bit more money than the first one,” Statham said during the interview.

When asked if ‘The Expendables’ sequel would possibly be his next movie, he said “I’m very positive that it will be going.” He added that he would be the first to say yes to another ‘Expendables’ film if director and star Sylvester Stallone asked him.  “If there’s anyone who can do a good sequel it’s (Sly) Stallone! He’s done a fair amount…It’s something I’d like to repeat,” Statham also said.
