Are you one of those who long to go back to Pandora? Well, director/creator of Avatar James Cameron has your wishes covered. According to Entertainment Weekly, Cameron is currently at work penning the script to the next two installments of “Avatar.” He has also stated that the films are set to be released Christmas 2014 and 2015.
“We are planning to shoot them together and post them together, and we will probably release them not quite back to back, but about a year apart,” he told the magazine. He also said that all of the surviving main characters are expected to come back in the sequels, although I’m sure that even though she didn’t survive in the first Avatar, Sigourney Weaver’s character Dr. Grace Augustine will be worked in somehow.
Apparently, it would seem that someone has been listening to “Star Wars” prequels reviewer Mr. Plinkett’s review of Avatar in which he talks about whether Cameron donated the proceeds from Avatar to environmental and social causes, because Cameron has also said that he has partnered with Fox to donate a large part of the proceeds to “environmental causes that are at the heart of the Avatar world, said Cameron. “I didn’t want to make more Avatar movies without a grander plan in place,” he said.
