After months of stalling and expressing a lack of interest to committing to the road trip comedy ‘My Mother’s Curse,’ starring Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand, Paramount has officially confirmed the two stars will play the lead roles, Cinemablend.com is reporting. The movie’s script has been completed by ‘Cars’ screenwriter Dan Fogelman, and is set to be a lose adaptation of his real life relationship with his mother. ‘My Mother’s Curse’ will follow an inventor who embarks on a road trip with his mother so that he can sell his new idea and reconnect her with a lost love on the same journey.
‘The Proposal’ director Anne Fletcher is on board to helm ‘My Mother’s Curse,’ The Hollywood Reporter has also confirmed. Evan Goldberg, John Goldwyn and ‘Saturday Night Live’ creator Lorne Michaels are all on board to produce the film. While an official release date hasn’t been announced, production is expected to begin this spring.
