The walking dead are potentially set to invade the CW again, as network officials have purchased the script for the zombie drama series ‘Awakening,’ Deadline.com is reporting. While the CW hasn’t officially signed the project, officials do have a potential pilot idea.
Canadian writers-producers William Laurin and Glenn Davis are the creative forces behind ‘Awakening.’ The series will follow two sisters who are not only fighting each other, but zombies as well in the midst of their recent uprising.
Laurin and Davis’ originally brought their script to Reveille Productions. But if the CW does order the series, Warner Bros. TV will be co-producing with the independent television studio. Laurin and Davis, along with Howard T. Woens, Carolyn Bernstein and Todd Cohen, will all executive produce ‘Awakening.’ However, the network has only ordered one series so far this development series, the dramedy ‘Danni Lowinski.’
