Hoping to continue the success he found last summer with his hit action film ‘The Expendables,’ Sylvester Stallone has signed onto to appear in the cop thriller ‘Headshot,’ Slashfilm.com is reporting. The movie, which is being helmed by ‘The Cooler’ director Wayne Kramer, will begin filming in New Orleans in May before it heads to New York City.
‘Headshot’ will follow Stallone’s character, who “teams with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C.” The two, who meet after two vicious murders, sacrifice everything to get their revenge.
There’s no word yet who will play the detective in the movie, which was penned by ‘The Messenger’ screenwriter Alessandro Camon. The distribution rights will be auctioned off at the European Film Market, which begins on February 10 in Berlin.
