The “Dark Knight Rises” news on Joseph Gordon-Levitt won’t rest! Now there’s talk circling the blogosphere about the “Inception” star possibly playing a mobster.
According to CinemaBlend via Comic Book Movie, Gordon-Levitt could play Alberto Falcone a.k.a. The Holiday Killer, the son of mob boss Carmine Falcone (seen in “Batman Begins”), played by Tom Wilkinson. According to the rumor, Alberto will go back into Gotham’s underworld and entrench himself in the world the Joker turned on its head. The other rumor is that Nestor Carbonell will return as Gotham’s mayor.
The Holiday Killer seems like a role Gordon-Levitt could play well, and honestly, he could shine in the role due to his subtlety of his acting style. But, as this writer has stated in her last article about Gordon-Levitt, all possible roles available to Gordon-Levitt are roles he could play very well. Even Robin, a role that quite a few people don’t want Gordon-Levitt to play, is a role that he’d do well in. The dude’s a talented actor; he could do well in any role that’s given to him.
“The Dark Knight Rises”, the next in the gritty “Batman” film series by Christopher Nolan, will star Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy and Morgan Freeman. The film will be available in theaters July 20, 2012.
