“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” fans, you’ll now be able to see Lucius Malfoy on your TV each week! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Isaacs has landed the lead role in a new procedural premiering on NBC. Called “REM”, the story will feature Isaacs’ character, a cop who, according to the site, “can’t let go of any aspect of his fractured family after a car accident.”
The show is created by “Lone Star” creator Kyle Killen. If you’ll remember, “Lone Star” was a show on Fox that was expected to do extremely well due to the love the critics had for it. However, television watchers either didn’t love it or didn’t give the show a chance, because the show was quickly cancelled. Hopefully Killen will strike gold with both the critics and tv viewers with “REM”.
According to the site, Isaacs starred in Fox’s pilot “Pleading Guilty” last year as well as the Showtime series “Brotherhood”. He has also lended his voice to the hugely popular cartoon show “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and is currently voice acting in “Cars 2”. Of course, the role he has become synonymous with now is as Draco Malfoy’s father and Death Eater, Lucius Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” series.
