The UK poster for the sci-fi action/thriller “Limitless” has been released, according to ScreenCrave. The poster shows stars Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro standing in what looks like Times Square or some busy street in New York.
The fact that the cars are whizzing behind and beside the actors in this poster shows that the film is attempting to show how the drug has put Cooper’s character, Eddie Morra, smack dab in the middle of the fast-paced life, including all of the good and bad that can come with it (De Niro’s character, Carl Van Loon, being the bad part).
But the weird thing about this poster is that the people look incredibly fake. ScreenCrave is right in saying that the actors look highly photoshopped, but the weirdness and out-of-place look going on with the actors in this poster also comes from the lighting not being indicative of the lighting in the background. While the actors are shown with frontal lighting and probably even top lighting, as if the sun’s shining on them, the background is New York at night. While there are tons of lights in New York at night, those lights wouldn’t produce sunlight-type lighting.
According to the official synopsis, “Limitless” is a “paranoia-fueled action thriller” about Morra, a struggling, unpublished author who takes a designer drug that allows him to utilize 100 percent of his brain, enabling him to become “a perfect version of himself.” His new-found powers attract unforseen forces that threaten his new life. Also starring Abbie Cornish, “Limitless” will hit theaters March 18.
