Normally, cover albums aren’t our favorite tunes to listen to. Nothing can beat the first. Unless the album puts a completely different spin on the old school tracks, rather than simply re-recording the original melody.
And the album, SIN-Atra, gets our approval. I am sure you can guess that this 12 track album features songs by Frank Sinatra, but I bet a rock twist on the tracks was far from thought. Sinatra’s renowned songs, such as “New York, New York,” “Lady Is A Tramp” and “Fly Me To The Moon,” become almost unrecognizable once a rock n’ roll spin is put on them. And that is more than okay, since these tracks are reinvented by members from rock groups, like Cheap Trick, Twisted Sister and Anthrax.
SIN-Atra will drop on March 29th via Eagle Rock Entertainment.
