If there’s another young actress you should be watching, it has to be Olivia Thirlby. She’s been popping up in all sorts of different feature films left and right, even recently with “Solitary Man” to “No Strings Attached.” The young actress has landed herself a nice new main role in the now-titled “Another Bullshit Night In Suck City” perched over at Focus Features. Thirbly will be sharing the big screen alongside Robert De Niro and Paul Dano.
The story is based off the memoir written by Nick Flynn. Paul Weitz will not only be directing the production but will be adapting “Suck City” for the big screen. Weitz’s previous written and directed credits include “In Good Company,” “About A Boy,” “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” and “Little Fockers.”
“Suck City” centers on an unconventional relationship that exists between a father (De Niro) and a son (Dano) while the latter is employed as a caseworker at a Boston homeless shelter. Thirlby will play Denise, the love interest who helps him get the job at the shelter.
Thirlby recently wrapped up her role in the upcoming Judge Dredd film (entitled “Dredd”), acting alongside Karl Urban. The Pete Travis sci-fi action flick currently has no release date.
