It’s not the norm for a independent film to get a video gamed based off it to be made, but thanks to the fine folks from Mondo (in connection to Alamo Drafthouse), they’re able to make it possible with “Hobo with a Shotgun: The Game.”
Mondo, the collectible art boutique arm of the Alamo Drafthouse, announced its first project as a game publisher with the adaptation for “Hobo with a Shotgun,” available exclusively on Apple’s App Store for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. To celebrate the release, Mondo and Magnet Releasing, the studio behind “Hobo with a Shotgun” (produced by Rhombus Media & Yer Dead Productions), will present a panel at the 2011 SXSW Interactive Festival on the game and the subject of independent gaming and filmmaking:
Feel free to download the video game through iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad right now on the link here. For those of you who are in the Austin area at the beginning of the week, be sure to check out the panel for this video game. Check out the details down below.
